Jehovah-Mekaddishkem - The God who Santifies

Sanctify means set apart, consecrated, separated unto God.

Exodus 31: 12-13 (amp) "And the Lord said to Moses, say unto the Israelites, Truly you shall keep my Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations that you may know that I, the LORD, sanctify you (set you apart for Myself)."

Leviticus 20:7-8 (amp) "Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God.  And you shall keep my statutes and do them, I am the LORD who sanctifies you."

Webster definition:
Consecrate - 1) to induct (as a bishop) into an office with a religious rite.  2) to make or declare sacred.  3) to devote solemnly to a purpose.

My Lord, I see from this that You are the one who inducts me into Your service, but I must devote myself solemnly to Your purposes, and You declare and make me holy, and set me free from sin.  You set me apart long ago in eternity past, you chose me.  Ephesians 1:4 "Even as (in his love) He chose us (me, Jean!).  He actually picked us out for Himself as his own, in Christ before the foundations of the world, that we (I) should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach before Him in love."

This is so awesome, that Jehovah, the Self Existent One, who created all that exists, would choose me, on purpose, and set me apart.  You even provided the only way that I could be not only cleansed of my sin, but to be free from it.  You freed me from sin's power and one day in heaven.  I will be forever free from sins presence.

But I praise you that even now in this sinful world I live in, You have made me holy and consecrated to Your service.  You count me worthy because You see me in the perfectness that You created me to be.  You see the righteousness of Your Holy Son covering me.  Thank you, Jehovah Mekaddishkem.  the One and Only One Who Sanctifies and consecrates me and makes me holy in  Your eyes.
Hallelujah!
Amen

The Lord - Soverign One

Sovereign One - Ruler of All - My Shepherd, Jehovah Raah.  I am under His watchful care.  I shall not want.  Jehovah El.

He is responsible to feed my body and my spirit.  Jehovah Jireh.  He leads and guides my every step.  He shields me from harm.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures.  He shares my load, carrying the greater part of it.  He provides rest, refreshment, and renewal when I am weary.  He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul and revives my spirit.

He is the Living Water and the Bread of Life that restores my soul.  He leads me in the paths of righteousness.  Jehovah Tsidkenu.  He is my righteousness.  I have none in myself.  I cannot earn it - it is his gift to me.

Yea though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will not fear, for He is with me.  Immanual.  You are with me.

Jehovah Shammah - the Lord is There.
Jehovah - my protector
Jehovah - my guide
Jehovah - my comforter.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  Jehovah Jireh, my providers.  You anoint my head with oil.  Jehovah Maccaddeshcem, the Lord who sanctifies me.

My cup runneth over.  He came that I may have life - Abundant Life!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!  Amen.  Hallelujah!

Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord My Banner

Numbers 21 tells that Israel had sinned and God's judgment was poisonous snakes that killed them.  Moses was instructed by God to set up a standard and everyone who looked at it would live.  Jesus is that standard - that banner:  Jehovah Nissi.

In Numbers the people confessed, Moses interceeded, and God commanded.  In John 3 Jesus himself likens his death on the corss to Moses lifting up the serpent on the pole in the wilderness.  "As men were saved from physical death by looking to the brass serpent on the pole, so man would be saved from spiritual death by believing in Him who was made sin for us and hung on a tree."

This great quote from Kay Arthur, "We have only to look across the darkness and confusion of our life struggles to see our great King's standard lifted high.  He is our shining assurance of victory."

"The flesh (represented by Amalek) will never stop attacking and trying to drag you under, but you have Jehovah Nissi and there is victory under that Standard." (Kay Arthur)

You are not alone on the battlefield.  Look to the Lord, your Banner!  It is His battle.

Father, we battle the flesh all of our life and we are often tempted to raise that white flag of surrender.  I praise You that You are Jehovah Nissi - My Banner.  You are always tehre.  all I need to do is look up into Your face, get my eyes and attention off of me and my so-called problems.  Look up to You, the Perfect Standard.

I will never, ever win the war against my flesh in myself.  Only by your grace, mercy, and the power of Your indwelling Holy Spirit is victory possible.  This war has already been won on the cross.  I will be in many a battle, but the war has been won by Jesus Christ, Jehovah Nissi, the victor.

Praise be to You, that I can walk in victory, with my head held igh, eyes fixed on You, My Banner of Victory.  Hallelujah!
