Jehovah-Rapha: The Lord who Heals

Exodus 15:26c "...I Am the Lord who heals you."

Psalm 147:3 (Amplified) "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (curing their pains and their sorrows)."

Psalm 103:2-3 (Amplified) "Bless (affectionately, grateful praise) the Lord, O my soul and forget not one of His benefits.  Who forgives (every one of ) all your iniquities, who heals (each one of) your diseases."

I Peter 2:24 (Amplified) "personally bore our sins in His own body on teh tree (as on an altar and offered Himself on it) that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness.  By his wounds you have been healed."

Lord, you are as active in wounding as You are in healing.  You often have to allow us to get so down, down to the bottom, so we will cry out to You for healing of our sina nd our sickness.

I thank you so very much that I am basically very healthy.  I credit this to You and praise You for blessing me in this way.  You do heal my body so often, just last week You healed the burn on my hand overnight.

I praise you too that You heal our broken hearts and enable us to carry on with life and to use our experiences to encourage others.

I am an old woman and I do not know what means you have planned for my coming home to you.  It may be sickness and disease, or an accident (so called) or just old age.  But I do know that I am ready and that I can trust You for the grace to die - even as I trust you daily for grace to live.

For you are the One who has healed my sin-sick sould and who keeps these aging, creaky bones and weakened muscles working.  I praiser you, Joehova Rapha - My Healer!

Jehovah Jireh - The Lord Will Provide

'My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in gloy in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:19

Not only had Jehovah Jireh foreseen you need for eternal salvation, He also sess your day by day needs.  The Lord will Provide - Genesis 22:14.   God provided a substitute ram im place of Isaac on Mount Moriah.  Later Soloman built the temple on Mount Moriah, where sacrifices were offered for years for the people's sin.

Later Christ himself became the ultimate substitute sacrifice for all mankind's sin.  For my sin.   Jehovah-Jireh provided for my sin.  he did not spare His only Son, but allowed Jesus to die in my place.

This is truly the ultimate provision for me.  And, wonder of wonders, God cares so much for me that he sees my daily needs and provides for each one.

Lord, keep me ever mindful of your daily care for me.  May I never be ungrateful.  I think you for the strength and ability to get out of bed each morning.  Thank you for providing a warm water pool for my use because I know it is your way of keeping me mobile.  Thank you for my home and daily food.

I am so thankful for all the little things You do for me.  Things that are not life or death matters, but You provide them just because You love me and know I enjoy them.

You truly do provide out of Your riches in glory, to bless me here on earth.  I praise You, Jehovah-Jireh, my provider.

Jehovah - Self Existant One

July 19, 2004

Jehovah - The most sacred name of all - used 6,823 times in teh Old Testament.  The I AM.  Exodus 3:14 "And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM AND WHAT I AM, AND I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE."

Jehovah is the Being who is absolutely self-existant.  He possess essential life and permanent existance.  Exod 34:5-7 "And the Lord (Jehovah) descended in the cloud and stood with him (Moses) there and proclaimed the name of the Lord.  And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed 'The LORD, the LORD!  A God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness and truth.  keeping mercy and loving-kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin.  But who will by no means leave the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and children's children to the third and fourth generations."

O my Lord, Jehovah - the Self Existant one One - You are who You claim to be.  the I AM, and if I have You, I have everything I will ever need.

You are the eternal "I AM."  You are Alpha and Omega.  You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.  All life is contained in You.

You are the same One who appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and You have revealed Yourself to me - Jean!  You have been merciful and gracious to me - You have redeemed me from the pit of hell and called me your child.

You have a purpose for my life, and you will empower and enable me to accomplish that purpose - to Your eternal honor, glory and majesty.

I worship you, Jehovah, the Self Existant One

El Shaddai - the All Sufficient One

El - meaning Power
Shad - the Breast
The thought expressed in the name Shaddai describes poer but not the power of violence. Shaddai primarily means "breasted" from the Hebrew word "Shad" that is "the breast" or more exactly a woman's breast.

Shaddai is one of the divine titles of God meaning The Pourer, or shedder forth of blessings, temporal or spiritual. (Names of God by Andrew Jukes).

El Shaddai pours Himself out for His children, gives His life blood, sheds forth his Spirit. The breast of a mother gives life to her child, she has power over the child.

Genesis 17:1 (Amplified) I Am the almighty God (El shaddai). Live and walk habitually before me, be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete) and I will make my covenant (solemn pledge) between me and you and will multiply you exceedingly."

My Lord, you created me and as El Shaddai, the All Sufficient One, You have power over me, Your needy child. You pour out life-giving sustainance into me. You shed Your life that me that I might be like you.

That I might live eternally. You sustain me day by day. I have never come away from you wanting - You are my El Shaddai, my All Sufficient One.

No matter what I need, You are there will wide open arms, to hold me on Your lap, dryin gmy tears, cleaning my open wounds, and applying your healing balm. Over and over again You have proved that You are my Protector and ahve beven so freely of Your unconditional love and grace.

You delight to run to help me. You delight to be my comfort. You long to hold me in Your protective arms. You pour Yourself out for me, your created one. You pour yourself into me that I might be like you.

My weakness, my stubborness, my frailty are nothing to you. You have all the might I will ever require.

El Shaddai, My All Sufficient One. I praise and thank You and give you all my love.
